Windsor leads JCAA large-school volleyball all-conference honors

(Imperial) This year’s all-conference team for volleyball has been revealed in the Jefferson County Athletics Association Large-School Division.

Top honors belonged to the league champion Windsor Owls, who finished with 3 first-team selections and and 5 total players who were named all-conference.

Senior libero Katie Moore was named the JCAA Large-School Division Player of the Year. Moore piled up 366 digs and 345 serve receptions during a season where the Owls won 27 of their 34 matches.

Windsor head coach Stephany Dueker-Richmond was once again named the conference’s coach of the year.

Juniors Lexi Menne and Grace Lowrey joined Moore on the first team, while senior Alayna Green and juniors Emma Lawson and Madison Williams represented Windsor on the second team.

Also earning first-team honors was Hillsboro Hawks senior Maya Wright; Perryville Pirates senior Taegan Gerler; and senior Kinsey Benack and sophomore Gabbi Burkard of the Festus Tigers.

Second-team honors went to Festus sophomore Delaney Willis; Perryville junior Rachey Riney; and senior Jill Heath and junior Meghan Mellor of the DeSoto Dragons.

Honorable mentions were given to Festus junior Kali Oshia, Hillsboro junior Bella Uzzle and Perryville senior Megan Buchheit.
