(STE. GENEVIEVE, Mo.) – The Windsor Owls volleyball team is headed to the Class 3 semifinals after victories in both the sectionals and quarterfinals Saturday in Ste. Genevieve on J-98.
Windsor started it off with a dominating win over the Ste. Genevieve Dragons in two sets, 25-13, 25-18.
It was defense leading to offense for the Owls.
Windsor would then await their next opponent, as the sectional match between Perryville and and Rosati-Kain took place.
The Pirates took the first set 25-16, but the second proved to be much closer.
That was until a late service run put Perryville over the top, 25-19.
That would set up the quarterfinal matchup between Windsor and Perryville.
The Owls took the first set 25-19.
For the first time all day, Windsor had trouble passing, but they corrected those issues in the third, taking the set and match 25-14.
Perryville heads into the offseason with a 27-7-2 record.
Owls head coach Stephany Dueker-Richmond describes the feeling of heading to the Final Four.
