(IMPERIAL) Taylor Duncan and Ally Moore of Windsor volleyball are our co-Parkland Health Mart Pharmacy Athletes of the Week after helping lead the Owls to the Class 3 State Final Four.

They were all smiles when talking to us about this opportunity and Taylor couldn’t help but even laugh a little when thinking back to the celebration after clinching their spot.

The trip to state is the furthest any Windsor girl’s athletics program has ever advanced since beginning activity in 1969-1970. Ally thinks it’s awesome.

Last week during the Class 3 District 3 championship run, the Sectional win, and the Quarterfinal win, Ally totaled 32 service points, 10 aces, 57 serve receives and 64 digs. The digs are what she’s most proud of.

Taylor had 61 serving points, 17 aces, 97 assists, 33 digs, and 11 kills. Owls head coach Stephany Dueker-Richmond said both Taylor and Ally have been invaluable to the team’s success this season not just in stats but also in leadership, attitude, and effort. Taylor responded to those comments.

For being co-athletes of the week, Taylor Duncan and Ally Moore received a t-shirt, a certificate, and chose the Alzheimer’s Association in St. Francois County for their $25 Parkland Health Mart Pharmacy donation.

The Windsor volleyball Owls will participate in Round Robin play of the Class 3 State Tournament on Friday at the Show Me Center in Cape Girardeau.
