Windsor’s Amabile soars to boys’ hoops Dream Team

(Imperial) The Windsor Owls have had few boys’ basketball players like Sonny Amabile.

The senior guard was a sensation in his final season in Imperial, and he earned a spot on the Regional Radio Dream Team for his performance.

Amabile says the hard work he and his teammates have put in has paid off.

Amabile lead the Owls in scoring, assists and steals while averaging almost 19 points per game and hitting more than a third of his 3-point shots.

He credits first-year head coach Ryan McArthy for helping him to develop into a more complete player.

But Amabile says family and other coaches have helped him grow as well.

Amabile earned another all-conference selection in the JCAA Large-School Division and is committed to play college basketball at Missouri Baptist University.
