(DESOTO) The DeSoto Dragons welcome in the Windsor Owls for some afternoon baseball on Thursday on AM 1400 KJFF.

The Owls are 13-4 this season and 1-1 in the Jefferson County Large Schools standings, riding some solid pitching to a 5-game winning streak. DeSoto has shown the ability to be explosive offensively but Owls head coach Jeff Young says that that won’t faze his pitchers.

The Dragons are 1-2 in the conference and 8-5 overall after picking up back-to-back wins over North County and Pacific. Head coach Matt Buechting knows that in order to continue winning and to beat Windsor, they have to hit well early in games and keep the heat on.

First pitch from DeSoto is scheduled for 4:30 p.m. on Thursday, weather pending. The Flieg’s Equipment Pregame Show will begin at 4:15 on AM 1400 KJFF.
