Windsor’s Taylor Richey is Girls Track Player of the Year

(IMPERIAL) Senior Taylor Richey of Windsor is the 2018 Girls Track and Field Dream Team Player of the Year after medaling in two events at the Class 4 state meet.

Taylor placed third in the 100-meter dash and 6th in the 200-meter dash. Richey is honored to receive this award voted on by area coaches.

During her run at Windsor, Richey was also a 3-time Jefferson County Conference MVP and the school record holder in the 100, 200, long jump and 4X100 relay as well as a 3-time state qualifier in the 100 and 200. But Richey didn’t do it all alone, with plenty of support from teammates.

Above all, it was head coach Stephanie Dueker that made the biggest impact on Taylor.

Taylor Richey will attend Missouri State University on a track scholarship and study to be a nurse.
