Woman Injured in Wayne County Accident

(Greenville) A 41-year-old woman from Greenville suffered moderate injuries in a two-car accident around 7 Sunday evening. The Highway Patrol says the accident occurred on US-67 at Greenville. Valerie Valazques was an occupant in a 2000 Toyota Avalon driven by 23-year-old Clifton Matlock-Smith which failed to yield and pulled into the path of Lacey Wallace and her 2010 Toyota Corolla. Matlock-Smith suffered minor injuries, Wallace had no injuries and both vehicles were totaled. A MoDOT identifying sign was also destroyed in the accident.
