(Bonne Terre) The last couple of weeks have been tough ones for the residents and employees at the shelter in Bonne Terre operated by the Southeast Missouri Family Violence Council. Tracy Carroll is the assistant director at the shelter. She says they’ve been hit hard by COVID.
There are currently 33 women and 9 children staying at the shelter. Carroll says that makes cleaning a major priority.
The Family Violence Council shelter serves families in a five county area trying to leave abusive situations.
