Wooldridge retiring as Pony Bird and NextStep merge

(Jefferson County) It was announced a few weeks ago that Pony Bird Inc. and NextStep for Life were going to merge organizations. The actual date of the merger will take effect at the end of June but will take time to rebrand everything both organizations provide. Jennifer Wooldridge has been with NextStep for 19 years and will retire as the merger takes place. She says she’s extremely happy to leave her fellow employees and the people they provide services for in great hands.

Pony Bird Inc. will remain the name after the merger, but Wooldridge says they plan to use the NextStep name for certain services.

Current Pony Bird CEO Sarah Sucharski will keep the same title as the merger takes place. She says this move also doubles the number of employees, as there will be no cuts or layoffs….in fact, they are hiring right now.

The board of directors for each organization will be merged into one. For more information on the merger or employment opportunities, visit both the Pony Bird and NextStep for Life websites.
