Couple Who Runs Christian Boarding School in Wayne County Arrested For Kidnapping

(Leeper) A married couple, who runs a Christian boarding school in Wayne County, have been arrested on kidnapping charges.

Arrests warrants were served to a male subject on Friday at A.B.M. Ministries Lighthouse Christian Academy which is located south of Clearwater Lake and north of Mill Spring off Highway 34.

The mans’ wife was then arrested when she showed up at the Wayne County Sheriff’s Department at about 3 o’clock early Saturday morning looking for her husband.

Deputies had been conducting a months-long investigation into reports of several runaways from the boarding house before Friday’s raid.

That’s according to the Wayne County Sheriff’s Department Facebook page.

The boarding schools’ website says it’s for boys 10 to 13 and on average, they have around 40 children there at one time.
