Groundbreaking Ceremony For The Jefferson County Sheriff’s Crime Lab Held In Pevely

(HILLSBORO, PEVELY) The Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office crime lab construction process is underway after a groundbreaking ceremony was held yesterday (Monday) in Pevely. Hastings and Chivetta Architects in St. Louis County handled the designing of the lab, and Chris Chivetta says this building will house all the items needed in this day and age of crime solving.

Chivetta says they are targeting a year to complete the building process.

Jefferson County Sheriff Dave Marshak says he’s happy this project has officially started.

The total cost for the project from the design phase to the end of construction is around 11.6 million dollars. The building will constructed alongside and partially connected to the Sheriff’s Office evidence storage facility. Construction will take about a year to complete.
