HIllsboro Girls Hold Off St. Pius 48-44
(HILLSBORO)    The Hillsboro Lady Hawks improved their record to 9-2 last (Tuesday) night with a 48-44 win at home against St. Pius.  The game was broadcast on KJFF and mymoinfo.com.  Hillsboro was led in scoring by Ashley Hilton who had 16 points. Her teammate Bailey Scallet was in double figures with 10 points.
Hillsboro coach Andrew Hubbard says St. Pius gave the Hawks quite a game.

St. Pius coach Aaron Portell said the Lady Lancers played a tough game and they are missing P.J. Krodinger who is battling illness.

Lady Lancer Olivia Charleville helped St. Pius get back in the game late in the fourth quarter on a three point basket from the top of the key.  It turned out to be the Festus Steak and Shake “Shake Up” play of the game.

Portell commented after the game about Charleville’s basket and overall play.

St. Pius slips to 9-4 and they will host Scott City Thursday night.  Hillsboro will host Windsor Thursday night.
