Hillsboro Stays Undefeated with 42-21 Win At Festus
(FESTUS)    The Hillsboro Hawks remain undefeated as they beat the Festus Tigers Friday night, 42-21.  The game was heard on KJFF 1400AM and mymoinfo.com.
Hawks running back Peyton Brown rushed for two TD’s and he caught two passes for touchdowns as he was our Applebee’s of Farmington Player of the Game.
The Hawk’s got on the scoreboard first at 4:18 in the first quarter with Peyton Brown’s 18 yard pass reception.

Hillsboro went up 14-0 on a 59 yard TD pass to Kelten Pickens. It was the Festus Steak and Shake “Shake ’em Up” Play of the game.  Nick Marchetti was successful again on the extra point.
Festus got on the board in the second quarter on the 5 yard pass to Deshawn Bridgett.

Hillsboro’s Peyton Brown scored on a four yard carry at 5:46 left in the second quarter and four minutes later he scored on this 29 yard dash.

At halftime the Hawks led the Tigers 28-7.
In the third quarter Peyton Brown scored his fourth TD, a 21 yard carry.  With the point after by Marchetti, the score was 35-7.
The Tigers scored early in the fourth quarter, a two yard power run by Hayden Bates.

That made the score 35-14.
With 1:12 left in the game, Preston Brown gave the Hawks a 42-14 lead on this 21 yard keeper.

The Tigers scored on a five yard run with only 14 seconds left in the game to make the Final score 42-20.
After the game Hillsboro Coach Bill Sucharski said he was proud of his players for their “buy in” to the game plan.

Meanwhile Festus head coach A.J. O’Fodile the Tiger’s problems were self-inflicted.

Next Friday night in Week 6, the (5-0) Hawks will host the (3-2) Windsor Owls.  Festus is now (3-2) and will host the (1-4) North County Raiders.
