Jefferson College raises tuition for the upcoming fall semester
(Hillsboro, Arnold) An increase in tuition will be in effect for students this fall at Jefferson College. The increase was approved by the Jefferson College Board of Trustees as part of the newly approved 2024 fiscal year budget.
Roger Barrentine, Director of Public Relations and Marketing for the college says the increase applies to students who live in-district.
According to Barrentine, the trustees researched many ways to minimize the amount of an increase.
The new budget also allocates nearly $23.5 million dollars in funding for building expansion to the Arnold campus, a new student housing building at Viking Woods in Hillsboro, construction of a new Vet Tech facility in Hillsboro, and renovations to the Fine Arts North building on the Hillsboro campus.
