Schacht Retiring as Hillsboro High School Asst. Principal Activities Athletic Director
(HILLSBORO) Hillsboro High School Assistant Principal Activities/Athletic Director Chris Schacht says he will be retiring at the end of the current school year. In a press release from the district, the board accepted Schact’s retirement papers and have named high school chemistry teacher, boys varsity basketball and golf coach Brian Sucharski as Schacht’s replacement.
Schacht says his career in education began 28 years ago and after talking with his family and financial representatives he decided now is a good time to retire.
According to Schacht, he has enjoyed being around for the recent success of Hillsboro athletic teams.
Schacht says there are some projects he’d like to squeeze in before he leaves at the end of June, but for now he can’t release the details.
Schacht graduated from Lindbergh High School, played soccer and earned a teaching degree at Missouri Southern. He began his teaching career at Richwoods before joining Hillsboro 26 years ago as boys and girls varsity soccer coach.
