St. Pius’ Sophie Meyer Named Athlete of the Week

St. Pius Lancers Softball Senior Shortstop Sophie Meyer is our Applebee’s of Farmington Athlete of the Week. The Lancers started the season at the Notre Dame Tournament in St. Louis this weekend. They went 2-1 and Sophie led the offense from the 3-hole in the order. Of her 7 hits, 5 went for extra bases and 3 left the yard. Defensively she only made a single error from the shortstop position. Head Coach Kevin Halley says Meyers is an extension of the coaching staff.

Over four games this season, Meyer has a slash line of .636/.714/1.636, 2 doubles, 3 home runs and, 6 RBIs. As Applebee’s of Farmington Athlete of the Week, Meyer will receive a t-shirt and certificate for a free entree at the Applebee’s in Farmington.
