Valle Catholic Undergoing Turnaround

The Valle Catholic Warriors boys basketball team is undergoing a lot of turnaround. The Warriors have no seniors and everyone on the roster is a first time varsity player. Despite that, Valle Catholic jumped out to a 3-1 start. Coach Tyler Search shares his thoughts on those first few games.

Valle Catholic then began tournament play by competing in the Perryville Shootout and Winter Warrior Classic in the span of two weeks, where they would proceed to drop 5 of their next 6 games. Coach Search talks about the biggest reasons for the sudden shift in momentum.

Valle Catholic’s struggles have carried over into 2024 as the Warriors have slipped to 7-15. Following a four point loss to Fredericktown in the MAAA Tournament, the Warriors will face North County tonight in the consolation bracket.
