(Farmington) The U.S. Department of Health and Human Services awarded more than 27-million dollars in coronavirus response grant funding to 29 Missouri community health centers today.

The funding will help meet staffing needs, and prevent, diagnose and treat coronavirus patients.

Three local health centers are recipients of that funding.

Big Springs Medical Association in Ellington will receive 881-thousand dollars, Community Treatment Inc. in Festus will receive 824-thousand and Great Mines Health Center in Potosi will receive 695-thousand dollars in funding for response to Covid-19.
