Americans struggle daily to get tested for Coronavirus, and with more cases being confirmed in Missouri more people are wanting to get tested. Amber Elliot, the St. Francois County Health Department Administrator, spoke today during our Coronavirus Roundtable about testing in Missouri.

People wanting to be tested need to take proper steps prior to going to the doctor. The biggest thing you can do is call your doctor ahead of time.

Testing takes time and money to get done, however Elliot sees the process expanding.

The Health Center in Park Hills can’t test patients but they have tests available to send to doctors if the criteria is met.

There are 10 confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Missouri but that number is expected to continue to rise.
