60th Annual Turkey Call & Owl Hooting Contest At The Festus-Crystal City Conservation Club

(FESTUS, CRYSTAL CITY) The annual Turkey Call and Owl Hooting contest returns to the Festus-Crystal City Conservation Club next month. The contest will be in its 60th year as well. Former Jefferson County resident Ralph Duren will emcee the event once again. He says for this anniversary year, callers can take home cash prizes.
Duren says past winners of this event went on to do well in the conservation and outdoors field.
The 60th annual Turkey Call and Owl Hooting contest will take place on Saturday, March 23rd. Doors open at 5 o’clock with the competition starting around 6. The contest will be held at the Festus-Crystal City Conservation Club on Highway 61 south of Festus. For more information call the club at (636) 933-0908.
