District 2 Jefferson County Councilperson expected to be announced soon

(Hillsboro) The Jefferson County Council is close to naming a new District 2 Councilperson. Jefferson County Executive Dennis Gannon says Council Chair Charles Groeteke and the current council members have gone over the applicants and are nearing a decision.

It’s likely the new County Councilperson in District 2 will be named during the county council meeting on Monday night. The position was left vacant after Renee Rueter resigned after being elected as the State Representative in the 112th District.
