9th Big River Run 5K and 10 Mile Race is Held With Great Weather

(BYRNESVILLE) At Sunday’s “9th Big River Run” at the Northwest Jefferson County Sports Complex in Byrnesville, Northwest High School Sophomore Jackson Judge won the 5K run with a time of 19.22.
Judge said the course was a pleasant run.
In the ten mile race, the win went to 60 year old Eric Buckley who came in with a time of 1:09:21.4. He came across the finish line with 47 year old Alejandra Pascual-Garrido. Pascual-Garrido is from Argentina, she lives in the U-K, is currently working in South Africa and was in the area visiting family. She said she was practicing for a future marathon.
109 runners participated in the event which included a “fun run” for children.
