A Tent City of the Homeless has Formed Just Outside of Farmington

(Farmington) A tent city of homeless people has been erected on property near a Farmington church.

But that property is actually in the boundaries of St. Francois County.

Farmington Mayor Larry Forsythe tells Regional Radio the City cannot enforce any ordinances related to that problem but the County can.

Mayor Forsythe met with the St. Francois County Commission on Tuesday to offer his concerns with that group saying they are aware of the situation to assist the church.
