Accident involving a tanker truck injures one

(Hillsboro) A tanker carrying Acetone collided with a vehicle Monday morning on Highway “B” at Butcher Branch Road near Hillsboro. One individual was air-flighted to an area hospital for treatment of serious injuries. Hillsboro Fire Protection District Chief Brain Gaudet says the tanker was heading south towards Hillsboro. According to Gaudet, there wasn’t a fire but it took a little bit of time to get the injured man out of the wrecked vehicle.

According to Gaudet, the roadway was re-opened up for traffic at 12:07 pm. There were three vehicles involved in the accident and the name of the injured driver is Christopher Yeager of Festus and was air lifted to Mercy Hospital St. Louis for treatment.
