Arcadia Valley’s Alex Nash is Athlete of the Week

(IRONTON) Alex Nash of the Arcadia Valley baseball team is this week’s Regional Radio/Applebee’s of Farmington Athlete of the Week. Nash appeared in three games at the Mickey Mantle Classic in Oklahoma last week. He went 4 of 12 at the plate, averaging .444 with a home run, a double, and 4 RBIs. He stole three bases during the tournament. Nash shares the secret for his success when at bat.

When called to the mound, Nash picked up a critical strikeout and earned a save, which got the Tigers to the tournament championship game. He says his mindset is an important part of his pitching.

For being named Athlete of the Week, Alexander Nash will receive a T-shirt, certificate, and a voucher for a free entrée from Applebee’s in Farmington.
