Big Crowd for Day 1 of Jour de Fete Celebration in Ste. Genevieve

(Ste. Genevieve) A big crowd enjoyed and continue to enjoy the nice weather today in historic Ste. Genevieve for day 1 of the Jour de Fete celebration.

Just before the opening ceremony, we caught up with Nancy Fischer during our broadcast.

Nancy is a member of a special musical group who are performing this weekend.

We also spoke to Andrea Stolzer.

She’s a member of the Ste. Genevieve Rotary Club.

The club is selling chances for the always-popular Jour de Fete Duck Races which are held on the creek that runs through the downtown area.

The Jour de Fete will continue until this evening and  Sunday from 9 until 4.
