Big Weekend for Mountain Bikers at Steelville Bike Park

(Steelville) Professional, intermediate and novice mountain bikers will be making their way to Crawford County this weekend.

The destination is the Steelville Bike Park. Jacob Beers is the president of the Steelville M.T.B. Collective.

He says they will open a couple new trails for the first time to the public with a lot more fun happening both Saturday and Sunday.

If you want to give the Enduro Jam race a try on Sunday, Beers says there is a place for the novice rider up to the pro mountain biking level.

We asked Beers if the Steelville Bike Park event this weekend would be something first-time mountain bikers should take part in.

This weekend’s celebration will also include music all weekend and several food vendors will also be on-site.

The only charge for bikers is if you are participating in the Enduro Jam.

That carries a 40-dollar entry fee.

All other mountain biking activities are free this weekend.

The entrance to the Steelville Bike Park is just west of the city park off Highway 8.
