During their December meeting on Monday night, the Bismarck R-5 school district’s board of education heard about how the district is getting its students to go to the library.

Superintendent Jason King says the district’s librarians gave a presentation on the libraries and media centers on campus.

But it’s not just books that the schools are showing kids.

King says he was particularly impressed with the work being done in secondary education.

In other news from the meeting, the Bismarck R-5 board approved the calendar for the next school year.
