Busy start to the year for the Hillsboro Fire Protection District

(Hillsboro) The Hillsboro Fire Protection District has been busy since the start of the year with various calls for service including responding to accidents and fires.

Hillsboro fire Chief Brian Gaudet goes over some of the recent calls.

Brush fires have also kept the department busy, especially this time of year. Hillsboro fire assisted the Hematite Fire Protection District with one such fire on Tuesday.

According to Chief Gaudet, the call volume is already up this year compared to last years calls for service at this time.
