Centene Corporation Layoffs Coming

(Farmington) Missouri-based healthcare giant Centene Corporation is reportedly planning to lay off 2-thousand workers.

The St. Louis Post-Dispatch reports the exact number of jobs getting slashed is unknown at this time.

An online healthcare industry publication, Health Payer Specialist, says employees will be notified of their termination sometime next week.

Their last day of work is reportedly going to be December 8th.

No word if this layoff will affect any employees at Centene Farmington which is located near Engler Park.

Centene was ranked 25th in this year’s list of Fortune 500 companies.

The company’s website boasts that in 2022,

Centene was the number 1 carrier in the nation on the Health Insurance Marketplace.

The website also says the company had 1.2 billion dollars in net earnings in 2022.
