Central Football Defeats Farmington, 47-21
The Central Rebels Football team visited Farmington to play the Knights on Thursday and came away with a 47-21 victory. The Rebels scored first, but the Knights quickly answered with a kick return touchdown from freshman Josh McCarthy.
Central went on to score four more touchdowns in the first half. Jobe Bryant rushed for two of those, and Kannan Harlow made two incredible grabs for touchdowns. This one extended the lead to 35-7.

The Knights offense was able to move the ball, but struggled to finish drives in the red zone. They were plagued by penalties and turnovers when it mattered most. Central capped off their scoring with a two yard score from Braydon Berry, who played for the Knights last season. In the fourth quarter, Farmington’s second string would find the endzone twice.
Knights head coach Eric Kruppe says that the playoffs will be a fresh start for his team.

Farmington finishes the regular season on a four-game losing streak, and drops to 5-3. Central has now won three in a row and improves to 6-3. Both teams will have to wait until the conclusion of the Week 9 games to find out their plans for next week.
