Central Football to Host St. Francis Borgia in State Quarterfinals

(Park Hills) The Central Rebels football team won the Class 3 District 1 Championship against Ste. Genevieve last week, and will face St. Francis Borgia in the state quarterfinals. The Rebels offense scored seven first half touchdowns last week, and head coach Kory Schweiss believes the team is back at full strength.

St. Francis Borgia has been a dominant team this season as well. They’re 9-2 and average almost 40 points a game. The Knights are led by longtime coach Dale Gildehaus. He says the key to stopping Central starts with containing quarterback Casen Murphy.

Schweiss lists a few things that stand out about the Knights.
