Central Girls Basketball to play Ursuline Academy; Winner Advances to Show-me-Showdown

(ST. LOUIS) The Central Lady Rebels basketball team is one of eight remaining teams in the Class 4 State Tournament, and they’ll face Ursuline Academy in St. Louis Friday evening for the right to make it back to the Final Four in Columbia. Central defeated Cape Notre Dame Monday night in a gritty, physical game. Urusline Academy upset St. James on a buzzer beating layup to advance to this point. Tyree is in his first season as the head coach at Central. He says it would be special to take his team back to the Show-me-Showdown, where the Lady Rebels finished in third place last season.

Central plays Ursuline Academy Friday evening at 6 on AM-800 KREI with the season and a trip to Columbia on the line.
