Central; Potosi Advance to Class 4 District 2 Boys Basketball Championship
(POTOSI) The Potosi Trojans and Central Rebels boys basketball teams are set for a big rematch in the Class 4 District 2 Championship Saturday, as they both cruised to wins in the semifinals Thursday night. Potosi played Herculaneum first, and won 90-36. Carter Whitley was a human highlight reel for the Trojans.

Herculaneum was led in scoring by Gage Albertson with 13 points. Trojans head coach Jackson Conoway says about everything went right for his team tonight.

In the second game, Central defeated Affton 80-31. The Rebels took an early 26-7 lead thanks in part to Braydon Berry and Jobe Bryant scoring in transition.

Berry finished with 10 points, and Bryant led Central in scoring with 17. Rebels coach Brad Gross was pleased with his team’s performance.

Central and Potosi are set for their third meeting of the season for the Class 4 District 2 championship on Saturday afternoon at 1. You can listen to the game on J-98.
