Central Rebels Football Looking to the Future
The Central Rebels football team had a historic 2023 season, as the program won its first ever state championship. The bulk of the championship team, however, will graduate this year, which will create the opportunity for new faces to contribute. Kory Schweiss is the Rebels head coach. He knows next year’s team might not be as flashy as those of recent memory, but still expects to win.

The lack of star-power on the roster is a positive for the Rebels. Schweiss expects the level of competition to ramp up this offseason as players battle for their spots on the field.

Many jobs will be up for grabs, as the only returning contributors are running back/linebacker Jaxon Jones and wide receiver/corner Karras Foster, who missed most of last season with a injury. The rest of the roster is made up of players with similar skillsets, which means most of the team won’t have to play both ways.

The new-look Rebels offseason program is already underway.
