Central Softball Finishes 4th in Spring Class Two

(Springfield) Central looked like they were cruising to a 3rd place victory at the Class Two state final four in Springfield, but the Rebels ended up falling 8-7 to Kennett. The Rebels plated four in the 4th and took a 7-0 lead into the 5th inning.

Kennett finally got on the board with a single in the 5th, then exploded for six runs in the 6th before taking the lead in the top of the 7th…

Central had the tying run at third and the winning run at second base in the bottom of the 7th inning, but couldn’t bring them in.

Central finishes the spring season at 17-8 and 4th in Class Two. Kennett closes the year in 3rd place at 22-8.
