Central Sophomore Jobe Bryant Named Athlete Of The Week

(Park Hills) Whether it’s on the gridiron or the hardwood, Central Sophomore Jobe Bryant finds a way to make a game-breaking impact. In the first game of the season, Bryant went off for 42 points in an 83-49 victory over the Festus Tigers last Friday. He then followed that up with a 20-point performance against Windsor in the Gene Steighorst Tournament. He says he was pumped to play that first game.

As a freshman, Bryant averaged 20 points per game but wasn’t completely satisfied with those numbers. He worked hard this summer to round out his game.

The Central Rebels are currently 2-0 and getting big minutes from more than just Bryant. He says his team is starting to find their chemistry.

For the Class of 2024 in the state of Missouri, Bryant is currently the #4 ranked player overall and #2 point guard via Prep Hoops. Additionally, he is starting to intrigue D1 scouts and received an offer from Texas State University. Central will face Festus once again in the semifinal of the Gene Steighorst Tournament Friday.
