Central Spoils Potosi’s Homecoming with a 64-7 Win On J98

(Potosi) The Central Rebels spoiled Potosi’s homecoming game with a 64-7 win over the Trojans Friday night on J-98. The Rebels wasted little time finding pay-dirt.

Senior Dayshawn Welch scored two touchdowns in the first quarter but Potosi answered back.

A stout Rebel defense and untimely penalties prevented Potosi from scoring again. Central sophomore Jobe Bryant had one of the best games of his young career.

Bryant finished with seven catches for over 120 yards and two touchdowns en route to being named our Applebee’s of Farmington Player of the Game. Dayshawn Welch then picked up his first receiving score of the season.

Central senior quarterback Jett Bridges finished with three touchdowns and over 300 total yards. Welch collected over 100 total yards and scored four times. The 4-1 Rebels take on Ste. Genevieve next Friday on J98. Potosi takes their 1-4 record on the road to Perryville next Friday.
