Central Volleyball Sweeps Arcadia Valley Off Their Home Court

(Ironton) The Central Rebels took the trip down south to Ironton to battle the Arcadia Valley Tigers in volleyball tonight on the MyMoInfo SportStream and came back home with a straight set victory. The Rebels knocked off the Tigers 25-17, 25-20 and 25-16 to hand them their fourth loss of the season. Set number one was back and forth in the early going, but the Rebels found a rhythm and capped it off with a big defensive play.

Sets two and three were all Rebels as they led by as many as seven in each one and never let the Tigers sniff the lead. Our Applebee’s of Farmington Player of the Game was senior setter Addisyn Casey for the Rebels as she set up three different players with at least 10 kills and added on eight kills herself, including this one to win the match.

Head coach of the Rebels Tracie Casey says after a slow start her offense was able to get a lot of different girls chances and throw off the Tiger blockers.

Central improves to 6-2-3 and will play travel to Jackson to take on the Indians on Monday while Arcadia Valley falls to 6-4 and will take on Bloomfield this weekend.
