Central’s Aaron Tyree is Dream Team Girls Basketball Coach of the Year

Aaron Tyree, the head coach of the Central Lady Rebels, is this year’s Regional Radio Dream Team Girls Basketball Coach of the year. This was Tyree’s first season at the helm after spending several seasons as an assistant coach with Central. He says he had big shoes to fill in replacing former Central coach Josh Mapes but some familiar faces helped him acclimate to the job.

Tyree coached his team all the way to a second-place finish in the Class 4 State Tournament. He tells us what made them so good this season.

Tyree wanted to give his players credit for the team’s success this season.

Tyree’s Lady Rebels finished with a 25-5 and are coming off their second consecutive appearance in the Final Four.
