Central’s Bryant Earns Boys Basketball Dream Team Nod After Stellar Freshman Season

(Park Hills) One of the most anticipated arrivals to the T.J. Foulon Fieldhouse in Park Hills did not disappoint in his freshman campaign.

Central’s Jobe Bryant exploded onto the scene this year and was named to the Boys Basketball Dream Team.

He says the recognition means a lot.

Bryant wasted no time making his presence known to opposing teams as he averaged 21 points, five assists, and three steals per game this season.

Perhaps what is most impressive about the gaudy numbers is the fact that he was frequently the focal point of opponents’ defensive gameplans, and he still managed to get his night in and night out.

Bryant credits the great talent around him for allowing him to flourish.

The Rebels were led by a talented young core this season and will return all five starters next year.

Bryant says they are certainly excited about what this team has a chance to accomplish.

Bryant earned All-Conference, All-District, and All-State selections this season and helped lead the Rebels to a (15-11) record and a Class 4 District 2 championship.
