City of Steelville Met on Monday

(Steelville) The Steelville City Council received a special report during their meeting Monday night at City Hall. The report came from the U.S. Army Corps (cor) of Engineers. The corps had conducted a study, looking at ways the town could improve the flooding problems caused by the high waters of Yadkin Creek which flows through the center of Steelville. In other news from this week’s Steelville City Council meeting, it was announced there will be two contested races for the Tuesday, April 2nd municipal election. There’s going to be a race for mayor and another for a city council position.
