(HILLSBORO) The Festus Lady Tigers beat conference rival Hillsboro for the 8th straight time with a 57-20 road victory Thursday night on AM 1400 KJFF.
Jenna Oetting and Abby Rickerman each scored seven points in the first quarter to help the Tigers jump out to 21-4 lead. Toward the end of the 2nd, Oetting hit a pair of big 3’s to stretch the lead to 44-10 at the break.

Oetting finished with a game-high 17 points and was the Applebee’s of Farmington Player of the Game. Festus head coach Chris Ellis says Oetting’s basketball IQ is pretty high.
Festus improves to 11-3 this season and 1-0 in the JCAA Conference and Hillsboro falls to 2-12 and 0-1 in the conference. Festus is back home on Monday to face Union. Hillsboro will take on another conference opponent with Perryville visiting next Thursday.
