County Council District 7 application process close to closing

(Hillsboro) The deadline to be considered to fill the vacancy on the Jefferson County Council is approaching. Jim Terry of Cedar Hill resigned as the council member from District 7 at the end of April. Jefferson County Executive Dennis Gannon says the process to find his replacement is nearing the end.

Gannon says the council will meet to name a replacement in early June.

Those wanting to submit an application must live in District 7, and are subject to a background check, and must be caught up on their real estate and personal property taxes.
