Crystal City had to close city hall this week

(Crystal City) An employee exposed to Covid-19 forced Crystal City to close city hall this week. The city was already a bit shorthanded with one office employee on vacation, and another is out on maternity leave. City Administrator Jason Eisenbeis says they had no choice but to close for the time being.

Eisenbeis says they had to go to the extreme to get some important business done.

The closure of city hall also led to the cancellation of their scheduled court docket last (Wednesday) night with a rescheduled make-up date set for November 4th. Every two weeks, city hall is sprayed down and cleaned thoroughly and that will happen tomorrow (Friday), so they are expected to open city hall back up on Monday.
