De Soto Teenager Injured in St. Francois County Pickup Truck Crash

(Bonne Terre) A teenager from De Soto was injured Wednesday morning in a pickup truck accident in St. Francois County.

The Highway Patrol says the accident took place on Highway 67 at Cash Lane when 39-year-old Kristen Kelley of De Soto was travelling too fast for the slick road conditions, resulting in the truck striking a bridge barrier.

The truck then traveled across the highway, off the road and struck the median cable barrier.

Kelley was not injured but a passenger, 18-year-old Mikayla Willy of De Soto was moderately injured.

She was taken to Parkland Health Center in Bonne Terre.
