Desloge One Step Closer to Receiving New Tanker Truck for Fire Department

(Desloge) The Desloge City Council took one more step during this week’s meeting in purchasing a new tanker truck for the fire department.

City Administrator Dan Bryan says they had three bids to choose from regarding the lease purchase of the truck.

The Desloge City Council also passed an ordinance regarding medical marijuana.

In other news from the Desloge City Council meeting, it was announced the City still has funds for another TIF project.

They will be doing a major street upgrade on State Street, using the remaining 1.5 million dollars in TIF money.

Plans were also announced on a new park to built on a piece of land on Desloge Drive, across from the police station.

It will be called Veterans Memorial Park and would be paid for through citizen donations.
