Drastic increase in thefts in Crystal City

(Crystal City) Crystal City police, much like ever other law enforcement agency in Jefferson County and the region has been busy dealing with an uptick in various criminal activity.

Crystal City Police Sergeant Wes Besore says they have had a drastic increase in thefts overall.

In addition Crystal City police have dealt with a lot of car clotting crimes where groups of individuals go through subdivisions around town looking for unlocked vehicles to steal items from.

Sergeant Besore reminds residents to always lock your vehicle doors and to never leave valuables or guns inside any vehicle.
