Ellington Man Killed in ATV Crash in Reynolds County

(Ellington) A man from Elllington is dead and another person injured after an A.T.V. accident Tuesday afternoon in Reynolds County.

The Highway Patrol says the accident took place on ‘Y’ Highway, a half mile west of Ellington when a Honda A.T.V. driven by 21-year-old Austin Knudsen of Ellington ran off the road and overturned.

Knudsen and his passenger, 17-year-old Coteney Jenkins, also of Ellington, were thrown from the vehicle.

Knudsen was pronounced dead by the Butler County coroner about 50 minutes after the crash.

Jenkins was moderately injured and he was flown to Children’s Hospital in St. Louis.
