Ellington Seeks Another Solid Boys Basketball Season in 2020-21

(Ellington) The Ellington Whippets boys basketball team was a 20-game winner from 2014 through 2017 but has found themselves just above .500 over the past three seasons and will look to improve on that record in 2020-21.

They return four starters, all seniors – Brycen King, Carson McNail, Carsen Anderson, and Trevor Copeland.

The rest of the roster is comprised of four juniors, three sophomores, and one freshman.

Jeremy Peterson returns for his sixth season at the helm of the Whippets boys basketball team.

He says playing in two competitive conferences like the Black River League and the Big Springs Conference will once again make for a challenging season.

After finishing last year at 13-12, Peterson outlines what he wants to see his team improve upon this season.

The Whippets have started the season at (1-1) after playing in the AV Thanksgiving Tournament with a victory over Clearwater and a loss to South Iron.
